EverQuest2 character links

This may be of interest to some people, but it’s more of interest to me. Below are links to my current EQ2 characters. Yes, most of them are pretty sucky right now, but I’m working on it (it’s not like I have tonnes of spare time!). Right now my main is a druid barbarian chick and my secondary working is an in-the-works froglok paladin.

Trinjade – currently a level 18 barbarian druid

Crroakk – currently a level 6 froglok fighter

Damzig – currently a level 9 dwarf fighter (can you believe it wouldn’t let me use Danzig?!?)

Nikodemus – currently a level 10 ratonga predator (anyone watch the Secret of Nimh?)

Anomander – currently a level 6 dark elf priest (named after a big bad cool dude in Steven Erikson‘s awesome novels)

Vince! Good to see you still around and playing EQ/EQ2. Are you playing EQ? if so what server? I am on Povar, several toons on there now, mainly working a 59 ranger when I have time.

Hey, Kevin! Long time no talk! No, I’m on Stromm for EQ just because when I started back up, I felt like going to a server that would be a little more weighted for lower level chars (I didn’t want on one of the older servers because everyone low level is essentially an alt… not that that’s bad or anything).

On EQ2 I’m on Steamfont (I think? Don’t have it open right now).

But I picked up World of Warcraft today to check it out… the problem I have with EQ2 right now is that only machine I have is capable of running it. With EQ, I can run it on my laptop as well, but sometimes the graphics get goofy in the newer zones, but I don’t mind that too terribly much (I’ve just been getting more into EQ2 than EQ recently). With WoW, however, I can run it on my Linux/Windows dual-port power machine, run it on my x86_64 laptop, run it on my powerbook, run it on my G5, or run it on the eMac in the basement. Lots more flexibility!

For instance, I used to play EQ out at the in-law’s place, but I can’t do that with EQ2 since my laptop’s graphics card doesn’t have enough punch. But I could take WoW out there (on either the compaq or powerbook) and play it. I like that kind of versatility.

Hopefully I like the game tho… =) That versatility will stink if the game is no good. Time will tell… I’ve got a month to see if I like it enough to keep running it and suspend my EQ/EQ2 accounts for 3mos (I’m not letting my chars expire this time!!). I also find I don’t play much in the summer because I want to spend time outside… unfortunately, hauling my amd64 workstation outside just isn’t going to be happening anytime soon so EQ2 is a no-go.

I’ll put up a thingy on WoW once I check it out tomorrow. Anyways, nice to hear from you again! =) Been a while!
