Makes sense. I've noticed with hammer-ons you can hammer-on well before the note actually comes up and as long as you've got it held down, the note picks up. Tried the same with GH2 and was wondering why I kept missing notes. =)

And Through The Fire and Flames... good song but dang!

It was funny. I actually did a pro face-off against this fellow "Mr. Perfectionist" or something and he picked that song so I picked One, thinking he was probably some guy who plays expert and was doing medium for kicks. I just barely beat him in One (by a thousand points), then we were doing the Dragonforce song and amazingly enough I was pulling out ahead of him... near the end I was about 5k points ahead of him, and then he disconnected.

So I went off to play another song and got a message from him which basically said "R u a girl? I was taking it easy on you but we can do it again if you want". My wife was watching and started roaring when she read that. So I simply wrote back: "Not a girl, but thanks for trying".

Probably some 15 year old kid couldn't take the bruise to his ego (with a username like that, suppose I can't blame him).

The timing on GH3 was made noticeably easier than GH2 (you have a wider window to hit each note), according to all the reviews. This was to make overall 'harder' charts like Through The Fire And Flames possible.
