This week’s mac techmail is Syncing The Hit List with Daylite gives you all-access pass to your data anywhere you go which looks at combining The Hit List with DayLite to handle task management. I’m a huge fan of Daylite; it’s the CRM I’ve been using for years and I love it. The task management doesn’t suit my work flow, however, so I’ve been using THL (Things prior to it) to handle the day-to-day actions, todos, etc. to follow the GTD style of getting things done. Being able to smush the two together really helps, particularly with the iPhone since there is no THL app for it yet.

Easy application syncing with Mac’s Daylite CRM
This week’s mac TechMail is Easy application syncing with Mac’s Daylite CRM which talks more about using Daylite on the mac as a contact-relationship management software. I love Daylite and use it daily, and it’s ability to sync with other applications makes it so extremely useful. This tip talks about setting Daylite up to sync with AddressBook and iCal, which open up a world of sync opportunities with other programs that likewise sync with AB and iCal (think of them as the bridge between disparate utilities).
Get to know Daylite CRM for Macs
Two new mac tips on TechRepublic… last week’s is Configure OS X for Kerberos single sign-on authentication which talks about how to configure Kerberos with OS X. This week the tip is Get to know Daylite CRM for Macs which talks about the Daylite contact management software for OS X.
Daylite is one of my most-used programs that I’ve been using for years on the mac. I absolutely love it. It gets me my contacts and calendar, and other assorted goodies, on my desktop, my laptop, and my iPhone. Multi-user, networked, allowing for offline databases that sync back to the online database… it’s expensive, but it’s pure goodness. Sure, it’s had it’s fair share of issues and I’ve had one catastrophe with it a few years ago, but I love it and use it daily. Highly recommended if you need something industrial strength and find that Address Book and iCal just don’t cut it.
